FAQ
Your questions answered
Can I attend online?
Yes. Alongside the in-person gathering at Emperors Palace, you can register to attend online from anywhere — everyone is welcome to join online. Use the Register to attend online link. Applying to attend in person is a separate step.
What language will the event be in?
The event will be conducted in English.
Is the venue accessible to people with disabilities?
Yes. If we can assist with any accommodations, please let us know. It’s especially helpful for us to know about anyone accompanying you, so we can arrange the right refreshments for everyone.
Is there parking at the venue?
Yes — free parking is available for registered delegates.
How much does it cost to attend?
Free — genuinely nothing to pay. The only thing we ask you to bring is yourself (and an appetite; DAISY South Africa is providing lunch).
Can I get financial support for the cost of attending?
Unfortunately the organisers are unable to assist with the cost of travel or accommodation. Attendance itself is free, but getting to and staying in Johannesburg will be at your own expense.
What is the dress code?
Informal business attire — whatever that looks like in your own culture. We want you to feel comfortable, not formal.
Will there be refreshments?
Yes — tea and coffee will be served on arrival, and DAISY South Africa is kindly providing lunch in the venue’s main restaurant. There will also be closing refreshments and networking at the end of the day.
Will the event be recorded?
Yes — a recording of the presentations will be made available to registered attendees afterwards.
Will there be handouts?
There won’t be printed handouts, but the resources from the event — slides, web links and videos shared by our presenters — will be published here on this microsite afterwards.
What if I can no longer attend?
Please let us know so we can offer your place to someone else. Email the SA Conference team at saconference@daisynetworks.org and we’ll take care of the rest.
